The Victorian Caravan, Camping & Touring Supershow celebrated its 60th birthday last year and what a fantastic show it was with record crowds and much to see and do. This caravan show, the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, is on the move, and next year (2015) it is moving from Caulfield Racecourse to a new home at Melbourne Showgrounds from February 11th to 16th.
This great Caravan Super Show is presented by the Caravan Industry Association Victoria (CIA VIC), and their Chief Executive Officer, Rob Lucas says the move marks the dawn of a new era for Australia’s biggest outdoors show, with even more of the latest and greatest caravans, camping gear and outdoors accessories on display than was previously possible. The new venue has 18,000 square metres more exhibiting space than the previous venue, truly making the 2015 Supershow the biggest yet.
“Melbourne Showgrounds is just a magnificent facility and we will be able to grow even further, but more than that we will be able to give the patrons coming through the gates a much better experience. There will be more technical seminars and more activities, it’s going to be something quite special,” he told Whats Up Downunder
The additional space will also enhance the show experience for patrons with extra food outlets and rest areas, an abundance of entertainment, product demonstrations and seminars at the Supershow. There will be something to enjoy for every member of the family with fantastic prizes to be won, free show bags, fishing, the Yamaha Supertank, cooking demonstrations and much more. For the kids, Tammy the Tent and Corey the Caravan from the Caravanning Explorer’s Club will provide plenty of fun and amusement.
The Melbourne Showgrounds is only 7km from the CBD and is easily accessible for patrons with plenty of car parking available at the adjacent Flemington Racecourse, including disabled parking. Trains will run direct to the front gate on Saturday and Sunday of the Supershow, and trams from the City stop right at the front gate. The convenient shuttle buggies will also return in 2015 to help patrons get around the 60,000 square metres of exhibition space.
